Old CDDIS Server cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov Now Available (27-May-2005)
The new CDDIS server, cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov, uses an updated structure
for anonymous ftp access. A diagram of the
structure is now available.

Old CDDIS Server cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov Now Available (10-Feb-2005)
The old server cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov is once again in service. However,
the CDDIS staff strongly encourages all GPS, GLONASS, DORIS, and
SLR users to migrate to the new server, cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov as soon
as possible. This host is now considered the operational server for
the CDDIS for all data sets except for VLBI. GSFC VLBI personnel
are actively working on migrating the data services from cddisa to
the new server and hope to have this activitiy completed in the coming
months. Contact Carey Noll (Carey.Noll@nasa.gov)
with any questions regarding the CDDIS computer facilities.

Old CDDIS Server cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov Not Accessible (31-Jan-2005)
Over the weekend, hackers attempted to compromise several computers
in our division running a particular type of web statistics software.
Unfortunately, host cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov was one of these computers.
Although we do not believe that our system was compromised in any
way, the security group at GSFC has blocked access to cddisa (as
well as several other computers) until an assessment can be made.
As was announced a few weeks ago, users can now access GPS, GLONASS,
SLR, and DORIS data, as well as the CDDIS website, on our
operational server cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov. We encourage all users to
start using this host as soon as possible since we are unsure how
long cddisa will be blocked. Unfortunately, at this time, access
to VLBI data and products is not yet operational on cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov;
we will work with the IVS staff to see what can be done if the outage
appears to be too long.
We regret the difficulties this problem will cause our users. If
you need to contact someone at the CDDIS, please send email to both
Carey Noll (Carey.Noll@nasa.gov)
and Maury Dube (mdube@pop900.gsfc.nasa.gov).

CDDIS Operational on New Server (18-Jan-2005)
The CDDIS staff is pleased to announce that the archive is now
operational on a new server, cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov. All GPS, GLONASS,
SLR, and DORIS data and products are now available through this
new server in an updated directory structure; we hope to have VLBI
data and products available through the new server soon. We ask that
all users begin efforts to transition data access software to utilize
the new system. In the meantime, we will maintain the archives on
the old CDDIS server, cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov, for some months yet to
allow our user community to make the necessary changes.
In addition to the data archive, the CDDIS website has been redesigned
and is not operational on http://cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov. A more detailed
structure diagram for the new archive can be found on this website
at
http://cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov/ftpgpsstruct.html.
We welcome your comments on the new server and website.

CDDIS FTP Archive Diagrams
(14-Jan-2005)
The CDDIS data archive will soon be operational on a new server,
cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov. The directory structure for several
data sets has been modified in this migration to the new server.
To ease the transition for the user community to this new structure,
several
ftp structure diagrams have been created. Please contact Carey Noll
with any questions about the new server and directory structure.

New CDDIS Website (14-Jan-2005)
The new CDDIS website is
now available on the new CDDIS server cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov. This website
was re-designed to utilize the NASA "look
and feel". Comments to Carey
Noll are welcome.
